Workshops We Can Offer
Inclusive Teaching |
Difficult Conversations in the Classroom
This workshop will provide strategies for converting difficult conversations into productive exchanges within the classroom. As students face contentious elections, racial justice protests, and language surrounding COVID-19, we will also introduce resources to help them respond to potentially charged topics.
Learning Goals
After successfully completing this workshop you will be able to:
- Recognize the pedagogical implications of difficult conversations
- Learn strategies to facilitate these conversations before, during, and after the incident
- Practice responding to students’ reactions to current events
