This workshop focuses on facilitating productive student discussions in the classroom. Workshop participants will come away with concrete strategies for creating a classroom environment that promotes productive discussions. We will discuss how to lay a foundation for strong discussions, understand common barriers to student participation and generate strategies to overcome those barriers.
