Canvas Studio is built to integrate directly with Canvas to make video a more interactive and accessible part of teaching and learning. It allows instructors to upload, host, and embed video content within courses, then layer in features like in-video quizzing, timestamped comments, and closed captioning to boost engagement and comprehension. Students can also use Studio to create and submit their own video assignments, turning the platform into a two-way tool for both content delivery and student expression.
This session will focus specifically on how instructors can use Canvas Studio to create screencast videos (software tutorials or walkthroughs). Participants will learn best practices for recording their content, editing it, checking accessibility standards, and uploading their final videos to Canvas.
