Faculty Panel | Breaking down the Silos: Integrating the Arts into STEM Courses

-

Location: Raclin Murphy - Object Study Room

While our students love their experience at Notre Dame, disciplinary specialization creates a fragmentation of knowledge, undermining the ideal of a liberal arts education. Boundaries are inevitably made between disciplines, leading to a siloed feeling. This may be especially true for STEM students with heavy course loads in their majors. In this panel, Notre Dame STEM faculty describe how they use the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art to create learning experiences that include the best of the humanities and the sciences in a single classroom environment.
