Teaching as an Introvert

-

Location: 125 Hesburgh Library

Introverts, this workshop is for you! Many of us struggle with the transition into the social atmosphere of the classroom from the focused practice of our research and writing. What does it mean to teach a room full of students when you love quiet solitude or when you feel overwhelmed by interacting with lots of human beings on a daily basis? This interactive (but also reflective, we promise!) workshop will explore ways you can make the most of your strengths and tend to your specific challenges while you teach.

Facilitators:

  • James Lang, Professor of the Practice, Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence
  • Kristi Rudenga, Director, Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence
