Online Pedagogy Workshop Series: Creating and Leveraging Asynchronous Content

-

Location: Flanner Hall 936

New in 2024, ND Learning’s Office of Digital Learning will host a series of workshops leading up to the start of the semester to support all Summer Online Instructors, or any instructor interested in online pedagogy. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create engaging asynchronous content for blended courses. We will review different types of asynchronous materials, such as videos, podcasts, and online readings, and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. Participants will then have the opportunity to plan for what types of asynchronous content they will use in their own courses. Finally, participants will work with academic media specialists from the Office of Digital Learning to create their own short self-produced video. For those unable to attend, recordings and/or asynchronous materials will be made available
