The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is classroom-based inquiry that leads to improvement of teaching practice and publishable results. In this 75-minute workshop, we will outline key aspects of the SoTL process, including identifying researchable questions, ensuring research ethics compliance, particularly Institutional Review Board (IRB) procedures, and identifying appropriate conferences and publications for dissemination. This workshop will be both useful for faculty who are considering developing a new project, as well as those who are ready to share their work with the scholarly community.
