Faculty Seminar – Writing Like A Teacher: Expanding the Audiences for Your Academic Research Spring 2024 Seminar Meets One Thursday Per Month From 4:00–6:30 p.m. (Light Dinner Included) Application Deadline: Monday, December 11, 2023 View the Application Translating the good teaching practices that support learning in the classroom to the writing strategies that engage readers and help them learn from academic research, acclaimed teaching scholar James Lang will work with Notre Dame faculty interested in reaching audiences beyond their disciplinary peers. By the end of the semester, participants should have achieved something new in their writing: producing a book proposal, making progress on a current manuscript, or developing new writing in short-form formats such as op-ed essays or Substack newsletters. To ensure participants receive plentiful feedback on their work, enrollment will be limited. Please see the application for more details. Applications are due by Monday, December 11, 2023.
