Sonia Howell

Sonia is the Director of the Office of Digital Learning.

She leads the ODL team as they collaborate with members of the ND Learning team to produce end-to-end online courses and learning experiences for Notre Dame students and global learners. Additionally, Sonia provides managerial and administrative oversight for Notre Dame’s Summer Online program. 

Sonia joined the Office of Digital Learning in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for Digital Initiatives. She holds a B.A. in Media Studies and English, an M.A. in Comparative Literature, and a Ph.D. in English and Digital Humanities. 

Outside of work, Sonia enjoys running and traveling.
