The Learning Design Team collaborates with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to create online and hybrid courses, design effective digital learning assets, and advocate effective, evidence-based practices in various modalities. Additionally, our team offers consultation focused upon programmatic design, curricular planning, and analysis documentation for project scope and viability.
In the creation of courses and education-based projects, the team strives to follow the empirical processes of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation set forth by years of research-based theory and practice. Using a systems thinking approach, our team works with faculty members to develop the framework, content, and instructional strategies to promote active and engaging learning experiences in a variety of delivery formats.
Additionally, our team designs and develops workshops and training to help faculty familiarize themselves with educational best practices. We endeavor to foster innovation and creativity so faculty are able to carry out the university’s mission to be an environment of teaching and learning excellence.
