I’ve been part of the Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence as an undergraduate research assistant since October 2023, and I’m beyond excited to now serve as one of the AI coaches, helping students and faculty leverage AI tools in education.

Lorena Maher
Notre Dame Class: 2027
Majors: Economics; Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics
Minors: French; Middle Eastern and North African Studies
Hi, my name is Lorena, and I’m studying economics and applied and computational mathematics and statistics, with minors in French and Middle Eastern and North African studies. I’m from Houston, Texas, but I live in McGlinn on campus. I’m part of Student International Business Council and Beyond the Dome’s marketing & branding team. I originally joined LAITL because I’d been interested in doing research on campus and had never actually been a heavy AI user. I’ve loved my experience so far and the ability to incorporate my passion for adapting education with my research.
