Generative AI is having transformative impacts on teaching and learning—and you don’t have to explore it alone. As part of Notre Dame’s commitment to empowering faculty with AI fluency, Notre Dame Learning’s Lab for AI in Teaching and Learning (LAITL) is proud to offer AI coaching and mentoring led by our team of trained undergraduate AI coaches.

These student AI coaches support instructors by offering approachable, real-time guidance on:

  • Basics of AI literacy
  • Exploring AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and more) and their latest features
  • Understanding the risks and opportunities of AI in higher ed
  • Using AI ethically and effectively in course design, assessment, and communication
  • Course syllabus AI policy review and feedback
  • Testing existing assignments, designing or refining new AI-resilient assignments
  • Prompt-writing strategies and examples for teaching and learning
