Supporting Student Wellbeing in the Classroom

Wednesday, February 23rd; 2:00pm - 3:15pm

Emily Donahoe and Dominique Vargas, Postdoctoral Fellows, ND Learning

Supporting student mental health and wellbeing is always important, but it has become even more urgent in the wake of COVID-19, which has exacerbated pre-existing mental health issues among college students. How can we, as instructors, bolster student wellbeing as we battle the lingering physical and mental effects of the pandemic? In this workshop—drawing on an undergraduate panel on the same topic—we will identify strategies to model, implement, and nurture wellbeing practices in the classroom to encourage a culture of wellness.
