Crystal DeJaegher is associate director of teaching & learning technologies on the Office of Information Technology’s Teaching & Learning Technologies (TLT) team, which works hand-in-hand with Notre Dame Learning. She is committed to understanding the ways in which technology may be leveraged alongside evidence-based pedagogical practice to foster learner-centric experiences for all students.

Crystal creates faculty professional development opportunities, consults with faculty to optimize technology for teaching and learning, and encourages pedagogical innovation. Additionally, she teaches courses offered in the Idzik Computing and Digital Technologies minor at Notre Dame and has expertise in instructional design and mixed-reality technologies for teaching and learning.

After receiving her B.A. and M.S. from Indiana University, Crystal earned a Ph.D. in instructional design and technology from the University of Virginia, where she developed curriculum and explored augmented virtuality laboratories and the impact of user interface on student learning in science.

In her free time, you can find her playing video games, watching sports, and spending time with her family.
