Salvatore Riolo is a graduate associate at Notre Dame Learning’s Kaneb Center for Teaching Excellence. He holds a B.A. in languages, civilization, and the science of language from the University of Venice and an M.A. in Italian language and culture for foreigners from the University of Bologna. In 2022, he started his doctorate in Italian studies, with a focus on translation studies, at Notre Dame.

As a graduate associate, Salvatore facilitates workshops and participates in various initiatives at the Kaneb Center, contributing to the center’s mission to enhance teaching and learning across the University.

His passion for pedagogy stems from his experience as a language teacher at various levels and in different contexts. Therefore, his interest in the field revolves around a deep commitment to helping students integrate both linguistically and socially into new environments, building mutual trust, fostering independence, and using language teaching as a tool for cultural integration.
