Classroom technology - http://oit.nd.edu/clusters_classrooms

  • Most classrooms have projector, screen, DVD, and laptop hookup. Some have a computer or document camera.
  • Learn to use the technology by viewing short videos or call 631-8778 to arrange a classroom tech tour.
  • To request classroom delivery of computer projection or a document camera, call 631-8782 or fill out the form
  • Portable devices are available for classroom checkout: laser pointer, wireless microphone, digital audio recorder, CD/cassette player, mini-DV video camera, or tripod. Inquire at 115 DeBartolo.
  • Cable television is accessible in the classrooms, including channels in Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Russian, as well as SCOLA-4 (news from India and the Pacific Rim)

  • Three types of space are accessible online using WebFile - http://webfile.nd.edu
    1. NetFile (N:) - Windows and Mac - 8 GB* of file space for new faculty accounts
    2. AFS (H:) - all platforms - 10 MB* (not much) for new accounts.
    3. Courseware (I:) - online space for course files (see above) - default of 1 GB* on activation
      * Additional space may be rrequested online
  • Personal website - http://www.nd.edu/~netid - stored in NetFile for new accounts

Library services for faculty - http://www.library.nd.edu/help/faculty.shtml

  • RefWorks - web-based bibliographic management tool
  • Library instruction - schedule sessions for your students on RefWorks, online databases, or other topics
  • Media - check out DVDs, CDs, and other resources
  • Subject area librarians - contact them if you need a DVD or CD for a class and the library doesn't have it
