The Learning
Technology Lab can help you move all types of analog materials
into the digital domain:
- Images -
photograph, slide, overhead transparency, magazine illustration
- Audio - music, voice, or other sound recorded on vinyl
(LP), CD, audiocassette, or videocassette
- Video - VHS, Hi-8, or DVD
- Text -
from a book, article, or handout

After
the materials are digiitzed, you can use them in a wide variety
of ways, including:
- Post public domain
images on a public web site
- Save text
materials that meet fair use guidelines in a space that is
restricted to your class, such as
a WebCT course or a courseware folder
- Burn audio and image
files onto a CD* for classroom
presentations
- Compile a
series of video clips on a DVD* that
is indexed for easy retrieval
*without copyright
release, multiple copies of CDs and DVDs usually can't be made for
distribution to students. |
