Digital
photography
Anne Montgomery,
English. wanted students in her "Text and Image" course
to be able to examine rare books after they left the library. Working
with library staff, we digitized
the materials and created a web
site for her course. |
 |
Posting
grades
Harvey Bender,
Biology, wanted to post BIOS 101 grades quickly and privately.
We
helped him use Excel to compute complicated weighted averages,
then set up a WebCT
course for posting grades and other material. |

Learning
from the Web
Ivis Menes,
Romance Languages, wanted her class to learn about pop
music. Together we created a WebQuest
where students prepared artist profiles with photos and music, then
shared them in class. We are happy to brainstorm with faculty about
creative ways students can use the Web. |

Online
drill
Alex Himonas,
Mathematics, wanted non-majors to practice calculus problems and
receive immediate feedback. We helped him use WebCT
to create practice quizzes that let students try the same type of
problem repeatedly. |
